King Adam, wielder of the Great Sword of Vali, General of the Second Outlander War, the Guardian from the Undermurk, founder of the Mydistan Monarchy, is dead. Six factions were unified under the Mydistan banner for decades, a Republic of Chosen to protect against the Outworlder Fiends of Greater Terrever. When the Outworlders attacked and the Second War began, the Republic was too slow to react and the territories in the north of Gemyn and Tutio quickly overrun. If it wasn’t for the emergence of Adam, Mydista would have been destroyed.

Adam was named King of Mydista shortly after the war.  He had won the hearts of the people of Mydista, sure, but the real reason was that the Council of Chosen couldn’t agree on anything but him.  Primarily disagreements surrounded the future of Mydista, what to do about the Decay, a great plague, and the proper to the never ending threat of the Outworlder Fiends.
