Khari is a Norr-led society that treasures the intimate bond between people. While there is no law that requires them to be monogamous, Kharians will almost always be seen in pairs. That is because of their belief that the strongest force in the universe is when two beings are in synchronization.
They will develop friendships easily, and be loving to all, but when they find their match (romantically or not), they become something more. Twins are incredibly common in Khari society.

Khari call the desert plains of Mydista home. Their territory resides to the West to the Capitol, Fiore.

Hashiro, capitol city West of Fiore.
Tanzo, at the foot of Tutio mountains, near Jela.
Aoka, borders Viggo near Thala.
Naru borders Viggo near Cael.
Danbei, sits at the foot of a volcano.

Vanguard
Vanguards are specially trained fighters who can be hired as messengers, hunters, and personal bodyguards. Most who cannot complete training as a Vanguard end up becoming Soldiers. The goal of the Vanguard in its early development was to achieve peaceful discussion in political climates. Whenever a disagreement could not find a resolution, the leaders would dissolve matters by playful combat.
Eventually, the methods of resolution became various feats of precision, such as spear throwing and archery. Leaders became more concerned with improving their aim than improving their country. So, now each leader has a bodyguard and representative for any disputes, and they can focus on policy. As trade conversations become more agreeable, it is rare for Vanguards to face off against one another, but they must always be prepared to do so.

Allegiance Red, Loyalty Gold
Padyn is a 26 year old Nai (male) from the Aoka Clan, located near the base of the southernmost point of the eastern mountains, on the edge of a great desert. Padyn is unassuming and coldly efficient. He does not speak often, but when chooses to, he speaks in a poetic wisdom that only comes from being well-read. His closest friend is Jorath, the last “true” Red Knight, which surprises most people due to his contrasting, bombastic nature. Padyn’s family put him in Vanguard training at a very young age, and Jorath was there as his mentor long before either were selected as Knights. One might think by his reserved nature that Padyn is emotionless, but in truth, he has refined control while still feeling deeply.
The people of Khari are artists, poets, and storytellers. Their innate Aspect Magic is Passion Magic, which allows them to keenly observe and influence emotions, create minor illusions, and react quickly. Passion Magic is an interpersonal exchange, and the more connected you are with someone, the stronger your Passion. Padyn has trained exclusively in Passion Magic, and can read others very quickly.
