Destiny - Grace - Altruism

  • Viggo is a Norr-led society that concerns themselves greatly with a person’s destiny. Many within this region study in the realm of prophesy, and set their entire clans in motion to confirm this reality. They spend their days in prayer, and favor those with optimistic ambition.

    The youth are expected to craft for themselves an ultimate destiny, and calculate the goals that it would take to achieve such a thing. This pursuit is considered the most holy act. Failure to achieve a goal is a sin, and an apparent lack of resolve.

    Much of their mythology involves the Guardian Viggo’s failures to protect Mydista from the Outworlders, so it is the duty of any child of Viggo to correct that wrong and protect the world from this alien evil.

  • Viggo call the rainforest of Mydista home. Their territory resides to the Southwest to the Capitol, Fiore.

    Key Settlements:

    1. Cael is the Capitol City of Viggo, and just south of Mydista’s Capitol, Fiore.

    2. Percia, a remote jungle city.

    3. Ysold is the southernmost city of Mydista.

    4. Leon, bordering Setir territory.

    5. Thala, bordering Khari territory

  • Chosen

    The Chosen were originally the spiritual leaders of Mydista, and were hand-selected by the Power Guardians to be their spokespersons and personal helpers. Chosen can be a healer or a spiritual guide, but most often a person who is of service to their fellow human. The wealthiest of families, however, can send their children from a life of servitude into a life of politics. Still others feel the call to stride the frontlines of battle and lead Soldiers into the fray.

    The Knight class specialty in Viggo used to be the Architects, but their magic too closely resembled Arcane arts, and they quickly died out as a profession.

Fabian is a 27 year old Nai (male) from the Percivas Clan located in the south of the Viggo Jungle. He considers himself to be a “free-spirit” who has fled the nest of his uptight family and never really looked back. He detests any sort of rigidity and prefers to do things his own way. He is fueled by the spirit of adventure and gets bored very easily. He can be known to struggle socially, but people tend to find his excitement endearing. His ultimate goal before being selected as a Knight was to make it to Fidali and set sail, carrying out his days on the open sea with his friend Palum, a Frog Free with whom Fabian already has a Contract.

The people of Viggo have a deep reverence for a person’s destiny, or what they refer to as “The Unerring Sequence”. They are seekers of knowledge and truth, but through the lens of prophetic fulfillment. Their innate Aspect Magic is Fate Magic, which is the only Aspect that was not taught to the people by the Power Guardians. Fate Magic is still very mysterious, but the most common and practical application has been to face off against the Outworlder menace. Fabian is also trained in Aether Magic, which has helped him numerous times to escape into the jungles of his childhood home.
